This would be one of the worst ideas possible. You are just better off closing your store and use a passcode to enter. However if you do want to you have to go to: Website > Search Engine Optimisation > Robots.txt. Overhere you will have to enter: 'Disallow: /'. Also remove the robots.txt file in the root directory!

Hello,

Use Noindex and Nofollow from your test website so it will not indexed in Search engines, after you can remove it once moving to live URL.

You can simply close store-front

'Disallow: /' closes your website for robots. But they may show your URL in SERPs.

To delete all your URLs from SERPs you should also use meta tag Noindex. Watch the official Google video

robots.txt is "advisory" and not "compulsory".

Best approach is to close the store and use ?store_access_key=[your store access key] to access.
