How To Edit Homepage

I have been using an older version of cs-cart for ten years and have recently installed 4.6.2. I am working on rebuilding my website on the new version so I can replace the obsolete cart. I am very familiar with how to modify pages, change layouts, reorder products and categories in the old version. I cannot figure out how to modify the homepage in 4.6.2. I can create categories and list products, but do not know to set the order for them. Is there a users manual that explains how to do these things?

Thanks, that's a help, but I still can't change the homepage. I did change the logo, but am stuck with the generic home page from install.

You can construct home page look and feel on the Design -> Layouts -> Homepage page
