Help: Payment Options Not Showing

Hi There,

Testing process for orders. Payment Options are not appearing when going through checkout process.

All required payment options are active and I have no clue why they are not working. Missing since site was upgraded.

TIA

Are they usergroup dependent.

Managed to establish that I did not have the "Display Payment method step" checked. Thank you once again, you encouraged me to use logical though process :grin:

All four methods are checked for ALL groups. But still no payment page. Thanks for making me check! Any other suggestions are very welcome by me.

Is this a multistore installation and are the payment methods assigned to the store in question.

No this is just one store. Upgraded from 2.1.4 to 4.5.2 so very different the way it treats the "phone.tpl" Where it used to show the different options in the list using this template, seems that "phone.tpl" automatically assumes you don't need to show the options.

If this is the case then I put the scenario:

Granted in general terms if a phone call is involved then why have payment options?

HOWEVER

On the basis that the order goes through the shop and only one of the payment options is being attached to the order it does not advise the store owners of the type of payment process the customer is requesting. Not that the owners don't get the order just that expectations and being able when talking to the customer to discuss payment processing they will need ie, if credit card then they can have their payment process for that type of payment ready, as with paypal, cheque and any other optional way of paying.

Ultimately it was a much nicer option of having those payment options displayed and the customer selecting one of those options, albeit a selection as opposed to an actual live payment process.

I have tried using different templates but all to no avail - get the same result no selection just defaults to the first payment method of credit card.

Any and all ideas are gratefully received and not wasted. At this time it may take me a little while to come back and acknowledge after trying solutions that I can come back to acknowledge whether or not one particular suggested solution worked for me, have a lot of things to address at this time.

Thanks again all for your suggestions - maybe perhaps there will come a time when I will need others that have not addressed my particular scenario at this time but with things ever changing could well be the answer I am looking for into the future. :-)

All the methods should be displayed (drop down selector) in the admin while the order is being "edited" and can be changed there. The selected method can be changed and what happens next is a function of that selected payment method.
