We have looked everywhere regarding the ability to include an image in a blog post via an API call. It does not appear to exist at the moment. The image is even hosted already (it's a URL jpg) and all we want to do is have the image post in the addon section of the Blog/Pages page. Everything else works fine. Just can't figure out the correct call for the image and the documentation has nothing relating to it.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Yes and the Blog module just extends the default Pages feature
