We have developed the Image Uploader Pro add-on that allows you to make product image upload fast and easy with new drag and drop, crop and copy/paste features that are now available for product images in the admin panel of your CS-Cart store.

 

The Image Uploader Pro add-on simplifies the work with product images in the admin panel. When you go to the product editing page and choose an image to upload, it opens in a pop-up with a crop border to adjust the image size by dragging any of the four corner handles. You can also specify the crop ratio in the add-on’s settings: 1:1, 5:3, 3:5 or free.

 

The drag and drop feature is available in the Images tab for uploading additional images. Just choose images from your server or PC and upload them all in one click. The position of additional product images can be changed by drag and drop as well.

Firstly I thing main image probably should be moved from general pill to images pill and there all images would be arranged (first in group becomes main one), cropped (if you decide to add such), watermarked (if you decide to add such) all under image tab.

 

I suppose this suggestion is for CS-Cart team.

 

 

I like how photobucket is made for uploading images. You do not have to move images to dedicated field, basically you can drop anywhere in screen, in cs-cart it would be whole image pill content.

 

Approach how to upload images should consist of two functions

1. Drop anywhere in screen

2. Multi select upload

 

What about these points, they are already integrated in our add-on: you can drop one or several images anywhere in the screen.

It is not something that I cannot live or work without, but front end and backend should be modern, functionality for images like in your addon is present even in some inexpensive scripts, what makes cs-cart outdated in some areas..

We won't add crop feature. Watermark will work as it work now.

Need to revamp the whole image management mechanism (upload, DB storage). The concept of image pairs is outdated with the advent of dynamic thumbnail generation.

No, you can crop the additional images as well. Moreover you can crop, drag and drop image for graphic banner.

Yes, let's say setup upload limit 2mb and width 1500px, length - 1500px.
