Prevent Vendors From Adding New Variants?

Hi,

In 4.3, is there an easy way to prevent vendors from adding new variants to product features? I would like to limit their choices to the variants added by admins.

Or how can i just disable the 'enter other' field from appearing?

I managed to comment out the input field for this under design / backend / templates / views / products / components / product_assign_features.tpl as a quick fix.

But if anyone has a better idea, please let me know. thanks
