Over the last two weeks we have been getting customer accounts opened with only email addresses and no other information. We Googled the email addresses and they show up affiliated with email or forum spammer's accounts. Below is a sample of the email addresses that have been used. Google them if you want to see what we are seeing.

Please check whether Quick registration is enabled on the Settings > General page in the admin panel.
Why not enabling captcha?
