Say you have custom menu on your website instead of common top menu with categories. I want to put a link called latest products, that link would open a page, a location were I would see all new products from say last 7 days. How do I do that?
What would be easy (but this does not work) I would make a custom location say “new”
then put a block for products with newest filling.
this location would be accessable as
index.php?dispatch=new.view
but obviously this does not work. Any thoughts?
hi,
you can try use the following link:
http://demo.cs-cart.com/index.php?subcats=Y&pname=Y&search_performed=Y&q=&dispatch=products.search&sort_by=timestamp&sort_order=desc
p.s. it is not possible to set number of days then
alternatively you can purchase a ready solution:

Why do you want to create a location? Just create a new CMS page and block with new products only to this page (Global block status should be Disabled, enable it for the specific CMS page on the Status tab of the block)
As a result, you will be able to specify SEO name for this page, meta tags, etc
Yes I already did this. I want to list new products from at least 7 days this may be more then 100 products, loads slow, no pagination.
If it was possible to make a category with automatic filling like a block new products this would be best.
