Trying to upgrade to 4.2.1 and I get permission errors fromt eh automated upgrade script. I tried to use the Auto-Set permission by FTP Function but it fails to set any permissions. Can any help?

We recommend you to use SSH connection for this.

I seem to have the same problem and I have gone thru the documentation and set the file permissions accordingly.
Folder are 755 or 777 and files are 0664 or 0666.
I get the error message during upgrade: Error Cannot change permissions
Warning[color=#333333]: ftp_pwd() [[/color]function.ftp-pwd[color=#333333]]: “/” is your current location in [/color]/home/***/public_html/app/functions/fn.fs.php[color=#333333] on line [/color]1215
And a long list of files that dont have write permissions. I have not had this problem before on earlier updates…
Exactly the same issue here. Trying to upgrade from 4.15 to 4.21.
