CS-Cart And Multi-Vendor 4.1.2 Released, Brings Google Chrome Fix, Security Improvement, And 4.0.x Theme Support

Hello,

We are happy to announce the first minor release after the recent 4.1.1 major one—CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.1.2.

This release includes only 3 changes compared to version 4.1.1, but the changes are quite important, and it is strongly recommended to upgrade to 4.1.2.
[]In 4.1.2, we have resolved the recently reported Google Chrome issue, which lead to the CS-Cart admin panel unavailability.

[
]Another important thing is that older CS-Cart 4.0.x themes are now hassle-free imported during a 4.0.x-to-4.1.2 upgrade.

In addition, an XSS vulnerability has been resolved.

Upgrade

As usually, the upgrades will become available to all CS-Cart 4.1.1 storeowners within the following several days. You can upgrade in the Upgrade center in your CS-Cart admin panel.

Those storeowners who haven't received their 4.1.1 upgrades yet should receive both 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 upgrades just one after another. After you have upgraded to 4.1.1, you should see your 4.1.2 upgrade ready. If this doesn't happen, try clicking Refresh packages list (the gear-menu at the top-right corner of the page).

If you have any questions, feel free to ask here in the thread.

You are welcome to report issues on our bug tracker, and feel free to share your ideas on the UserVoice.

Stay tuned to the CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor news on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.

Thanks!

I have received v4.1.2 upgrade but I do not have the v4.1.1 upgrade.

I had tried last week to install v4.1.1 but it failed and then disappeared from my upgrade list

Will I be receiving v4.1.1 soon?

You can not get 4.1.2 upgrade without upgrading to 4.1.1

Check your version by adding “?version” parameter your URL address, like “Example Domain
Yes, when I do this it is v4.1.1, however, if I go to administration/upgrade center and click on installed upgrades, it only lists

Upgrade 4.0.2 - 4.0.3

Will I be ok to install 4.1.2 ?

I'm using a clean 4.1.1 install, which I used the Store Import tool for a 2.2.5 store, tried upgrading to 4.1.2 via Upgrade Center and received this error as soon as I click Install in the Upgrade Center:-

Fatal error: Class 'PharData' not found in /home/username/public_html/devstore/app/functions/fn.fs.php on line 187

Re-uploaded the 4.1.1 files from another downloaded 4.1.1 package (from Help Desk files) and still get the error. Manually cleared cache. Same error. Cannot upgrade to 4.1.2 to 4.1.1. CS-Cart is becoming far too much of a headache for what it's worth. V3+ has been a disaster.

Solved: PHP 'Phar' module was not active on the server. This should really be stated on the Requirements page as you cannot use the Upgrade Center to upgrade without this module.

I did the update to 4.1.2 on a fresh install of 4.1.1. Everything went smoothly. The problem I'm running into is trying to get a theme made for 4.0.3 to work with 4.1.2. I don't see any different options in the theme area on '.2' that I saw in '.1'. Am I missing something or is there a particular way to get these 4.0.x themes to work on 4.1.2?

upgrade is fine, but themes disappear. now i can only see the old version themes. it shows 2 layouts 5 styles.

another bug? again??

Hello, jimr78.

Now directory “presets” has name “styles” (full path: design\themes\you_theme_name\styles)

You must rename this directory to the theme 4.0.x worked in Cs-Cart version 4.1.x.

See cooments on blog

ah. got it… needed to change the folder names…

We have moved our themes from version 4.1.1 to version 4.1.2 for 1 hour.

There were no problems.

Now live demo for themes works on version 4.1.2

When migrating from version 4.0.3. 4.1.1 to require much more time. Because we have made our changes to some template files (.tpl). And we changed the content of live demo, added and changed blocks and styles: OwlCarousel, Features: our-brands, Block Benefits & Guarantees etc.

Thanks for the new features introduced in version 4.1.1 !

This article does not seem to apply to 4.x, but the functionality is there. However, when trying to look at the changes for the file, CS Cart screen only displays a blank page/screen.

Also I am not getting 4.1.1 → 4.1.2, despite Refreshing Package List it says “no updates currently available”. Is it because I have the changed files?

At the moment all upgrades should be available.

I think 4.1.2 is running blazing quick on our VPS Hostgator hosting plan and the fact it works with Google Chrome in the admin panel is a huge leap towards the right direction. haha… I still can't believe the previous version failed to work with one of the most popular web browsers in the admin panel.

Yea, Google often breaks its own products making life harder for web developers. You probably know that Google's YouTube didn't work properly on Google Chrome in the very recent time because of another bug in the most popular web browser…

I don't understand this either. The frontpage with the most popular web browser and the most preferred web browser among developers was not working. How is it possible to ignore that? This is just one of many serious bugs since 4.x was released.

In the middle of all this chaos, you even seem to charge more and more money for your services. Make your system stable and reliable first, then you can consider increasing the prices.

I hope you guys can start beta-testing your updates properly before you release them in the future.

Just my 50 cents.

ModNet
I don’t understand this either.
It’s really not at all complicated  , the issue was with google Chrome’s update, CS-Cart had a fix for this within matter of a few days, where is the problem? CS-Cart didn’t ignore anything, apparently you did little reading before posting your simple minded comments… Constructive criticism can be a good thing as long as the comments are valid, when they are not it comes across as ignorance…

If the problem occured after the new Chrome release, then I apologize for my first comment. I still think the 4.x system has been very buggy though. Especially the store import and the other import stuff has caused me a lot of headaches.
I agree Version 4.xx has been quite challenging upgrading from a prior version, just too many changes in a very short period of time to try to stay on top of for existing CS-Cart users, hopefully the dust will settle now and the final bugs can start to subside. I just upgraded our site from 3.0.6 to 4.0.3 along with including a new responsive theme and am rather hesitant to mess with anything for awhile longer! ;-)

Thanks, it does show up now but clicking install results in an error

"Fatal error: Class 'PharData' not found in /public_html/store/app/functions/fn.fs.php on line 187"

Hi, can you say how you resolved this please? We have the same error. Thanks.
