So I’ve set up filters and features tons of times, but for some reason I’m having troubles on a client’s site.
I have the features and filters set up and they display on the product listing page (lowest category page), but I can’t get the filters to display on the upper categories.
She has categories like:
Main Cat => Subcat 1 => Subcat 2 => Product Listing Page
Like I said, I can get them to work fine on the product listing page, but not Main Cat, Subcat 1, or Subcat 2.
I have the filters and features to display on all categories. I also have the features set to display on the catalog and product pages.
The block is set to original and dynamic and is for all categories.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Unfortunately, I have failed to reproduce the same issue in my CS-Cart installation of the current version. The problem requires examination in your CS-Cart installation. Please contact us via Customer Help Desk and provide temporary access to your server by clicking on the Add record link on the Access information page of your Help Desk account so that we could examine the issue.

Did you ever find a fix for this? I'm experiencing the same issue. Unless the direct category has the products in it, it won't filter. When I have a parent category that has no direct products but only subcategories, the filter menu wont even show.
I know it's a kinda old thread but I just posted a new thread explaining, that for some (currently) unknown reason so far, the filter block has been disabled from each category, so you have to manually enter each category, go to its blocks and re-enable the filters block. At least this was the problem in my case…
