Ebay Add-On For Cs-Cart

Dear CS-Cart users,

Here I'd like to discuss our plans regarding integration of CS-Cart with eBay services.

We analyzed the eBay functionality and within frames of this integration the module can consist of 3 potential parts:

Part 1. Ability to export product data from CS-Cart to eBay. It is planned to add a separate tab to the product editing page where the administrator would be able to specify product attributes for eBay;

Part 2. Inventory synchronization (from CS-Cart to eBay and vice versa);

Part 3. Ability to import orders to CS-Cart from eBay. When a product is sold on eBay, a special script will add appropriate order on the CS-Cart side;

Thus, please clarify in what cases you would like to use this module (functionality part):

a) It is ok for me if the module includes the functionality of part 1. I do not need parts 2 and 3;

b) It is ok for me if the module includes the functionality of parts 1 and 2. I do not need part 3;

c) I need the module to include the functionality of all three parts;

Please share your thoughts about the functionality of the eBay integration module.

Hi CS-Cart,

Do we have a rough ETA for this? This is the single most important feature we are looking to get out of CS-Cart.

Hi bytesparks, hi kimsonco,

Thanks for your replies. However, it would be very great and help us to complete the eBay integration sooner if you provide us with a little bit of requested feedback.

Please, let us know how exactly you want the addon to work, what functionality is of the most need and what can wait.

Ask your friends on this forums to take part in this poll as well. Help us to learn more about the real needs and demand of CS-Cart users so we could provide you with the workable solution in a reasonable time.

I appreciate your feedback and your involvement.

I tell what would be great is if you could setup an auto process where just 100 items are sent to ebay and listing with a 99p start. Here in the uk each month ebay members get free 100 listings. I would like to pick that for a category of cheap items and just leave it to run.

Hi CS-Cart,

Unfortunately it's now a little too late. I'm going to be migrating my 2 production sites to Magento.

Kind Regards,

James

I think there needs to be a tab for each product in cs cart called Ebay which allows you to tag a product for uploading to ebay. It may need to include some additional fields for example people might want freight cost, ebay buy it now price, start price, reserve price, length of auction, start time etc. It would also need to be able to handle option combinations so if you sell an Adidas t shirt, you can list red small, red large, blue small, blue large etc.

Once you've tagged some products for ebay listing and added the additional information you can batch list them for uploading including images.

Once an item sells it should poll your store to push across the data of the sale (items sold, shipping address, payment details etc). In the cs cart store it should look like any other order but tagged to show it was an ebay sale.

Some people may need more complex store synchronisation functionality. So when a product sells on your cs cart store it updates you ebay store and may even end a listing.

I think it would be difficult to do order downloads and stock sync functions without the product uploading piece because how would it know which product ebay just sold for cs cart to change its stock data. So for me pushing listings to ebay would need to go hand in hand with ability to import orders which would update the stock levels in cs cart. Pushing the stock levels back out to ebay would be secondary.

Here is a very good example of ebay integration may be it'll give some Idea

Interspire Cart use to have it

Hi,

This thread has been inactive for long time. Is the project still ongoing? If so, we would like all levels of functionality. If not all, then something like1, with a decrement to CS-Cart stock by 1 when a product is sent to eBay and buttons on the eBay tab to take product off eBay with readjustment of CS-Cart stock level or register eBay sale from copy of eBay paid invoice sent to a dedicated email address for Cs-CartCS-Cart.

Thanks and advise status.

Hi Vladimir,

Thanks for response. We have an eBay account but not a store; does it require a store? Is there a demo someplace where we can go through the functionality?

According to your facebook post last week, the eBay addon is $85. Why is it saying $125?

That was the beta price only

We have updated ebay add-on. There are some new features.

Please check this post: Video Of How Ebay Addon Works? - General Questions - CS-Cart Community Forums

Point b i the best option. No need for the others.

Guys,

We have released this add-on: eBay Synchronization — CS-Cart 4.15.x documentation

I'm proud to announce that it includes all the features listed in the poll.

You can test it in a personal demo: How to create a B2B website? Get a personal demo.

Test it, Enjoy it, Buy it!

Not very impressed with this add-on, CS Cart even take credits to fix code that should be working, now returned to us.

eBay locked us out from syncing any more products; they say it's to protect us, not sure yet how we fix this issue.

Collecting store orders did not work and by the time CS Cart looked at it 2 days later we had shipped them out, they then said their were no orders to collect, sorry CS Cart your just to slow responding.

I purchased this product 21 March thinking it was developed by CS Cart and would work out of the box, sadly I was wrong. This product is still in it's infancy and needs to be development much more to be successful, right now it's very basic and not worth the money or effort trying to get it working.

We will leave it installed for now and just hope CS Cart will do a better job in time.
