We're currently working on porting mobile admin application to Android platform.

We've published the preview of the app in our blog at http://twigmo.com/bl...-admin-android/

N1XUS,

Could you PM me your twigmo account login/password so that we could reproduce the error?

I have trying twigmo out with no luck on my motorola droid (the original) On my test server I tried with cs-cart version 2.2.1 , no luck and have had other problems with 2.2.1 so it has been wiped out. But also have tried on ver 2.1.4 It seems to log in and show me 2 subheaders under dashboard " sales & Recent Orders. but no information. Then if I try any other selection, it crashes with the following message "Sorry! The application Twigmo Mobile Admin(process com.twigmo) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." with 1 option to force close.

I have another site on test server running cs-cart version 2.1.1 Tried on that also it seems to install I can go to addon enter all if and get Access ID, but when I click on the save button error messge pops up "Fail to update connection data." Don't know if it should have been able to run on this version or not.

Hope you can get this app to work as I believe it could be very useful.

That would definitely help us look into the issue.

We've updated twigmo.apk installation package. There are a lot of changes comparing to the previous version. It might be time to give the app a try :)

Important note.
The app tries to connect your store via secure connection(https). Please make sure ssl is enabled on your server, just try to open your admin back-end in a browser with https://<your store admin back-end url>. If ssl is disabled, you should check the option "Do not use secure connection" on the twigmo add-on settings page.

Your feedback is appreciated.

I tried the new app in my galaxy s, and i got some force closes when going to products tab (always) i could not get to see products... and "read timed out" error once at the orders tab.

The admin setting in cs-cart for how many items to display per page get passed to twigmo?, because i have like list 80 items per page and that could be the issue..i do not know

Another thing i notice if a address field was empty it shows as null

it is looking good! Thanks Ildar

ffwd,

What store were you connected to when you got "some force closes when going to products tab (always)"?
We failed to reproduce the error on our test store.

By default the app takes data in chunks by 10 records.

I love that there's a mobile (backend) app in development. But how come 3 months later there's still only a preview available for Android, and more importantly, why still no mobile for multi-vendor edition?

As you can see above it's been around 6 months since Twigmo last replied to this post. Does anyone know the current status of a stable Twigmo Admin Android app?

There is no stable version of Twigmo Mobile Admin for Android at the moment.

Currently we're focused on Twigmo Mobile Front-End and that is why there has been no progress with Android & iPhone admin applications. We're planning to update Mobile Admin for iPhone and launch a stable version of Mobile Admin for Android, however release schedule is not available.

Any updates on this? I see the iPhone app is out, I'm not going to consider Twigmo until there is an Angroid app for it too.
Thanks,
Tom

Unfortunately, we haven't been able to put efforts in Mobile Admin app for Android yet.

We are planning to update Twigmo Mobile Front-End(which works on Android) significantly and release a native demo front-end app for iOS in April. After that we may get back to admin apps.

"Open this page with your mobile device to see Mobile Front-End in action."
On the Twigmo demo with an HTC Desire MIUI with the built in browser/Opera mobile/Opera mini.

By the way, why not use a single CSS with media queries to do the same ? This way you don't have to worry about devices, about desktop, about Javascript, about anything... it just... works out of the box.

On the topic still, why are you building different applications for each device/platform - surely this is expensive?

Something like RhoMobile allows you to access the phone features like camera, GPS, NFC as well....
