Paypal Transactions "important Order Was Cancelled By Customer"

I have this problem also, and my hosting plan and company are not cheap, I'm ona VPS with Vidahost UK.

Well can only suggest to have

Open status to decrease inventory.
PayPal method Order prefix: mycartorsomething
In PayPal Set the Auto Return as explained here (https sensitive)
specifying Return URL (https sensitive)

Check IPN history under:

PayPal.com > Summary > Seller tools Seller Preferences > Instant Payment Notification

now click on "You can view your IPNs on the IPN History page"

I have the autoreturn with https, what I don't have is the IPN on...

We're still experiencing this issue with customers who are choosing Paypal payment at Check-out, Customer is re-directed to Paypal's Server page to make their payment, and may get "important Order Was Cancelled By Customer" after returning to our store.

Customer writes: "I finished my transaction on the Paypal page, and it just kept loading at the part where it was about to redirect me back to your site. So, I force refreshed the page and when I got back to your site it said my order was cancelled."

I can replicate issue logged as Customer, but it's not consistent. The Paypal Processing page Circle either keeps spinning, forcing a refresh to page, triggering "important Order Was Cancelled By Customer" after returning to our store. OR everything works fine, and Paypal processing page directs you back to our store with "Order Placed.

*I did do support tickets with both CS-CART & Paypal. Both parties said everything is OK.

*This issue pushed me to using Paypal Pro 3 weeks ago. It allows on-page check out for credit cards. We haven't experienced any issues with this payment option yet, but would to keep offering customer both options.

Update for those following this thread.

CS-CART Tech Support installed patch for me on Thursday (3/30/17) to fix this issue and everything has been working fine until this morning, and the issue occurred again.

Customer: "I waited for Paypal to re-direct me back to your store"

Is that where the issue lies? Error only occurs if customer doesn't click re-direct link back to our store?

I will update Tech Support with this infomration

I switched to Paypal Express to see if that makes a difference. I will update everyone by this friday about my results.
