Add Product Cost Price Field In Backend

We also have an addon that will not only track cost and show margin (on order items and on order total) but can also be used to import cost and to calculate all pricing based on cost.

Product info: EZ Cost Basis addon

Product documentation: EZ Cost Basis PDF

Marketplace: http://marketplace.cs-cart.com/add-ons/site-management/ez-cost-based-pricing.html

Note that this product was designed around "cost based pricing" but you can easily simply not do it's custom imports to set prices based on cost. Instead just include a field called 'Cost' into your normal import CSV. You'll then get the cost/margin per product and cost/marging totals for orders (Admin invoices only).

As always, we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. So if you're not completely satisfied and we can't address your concerns, we will happily refund your purchase amount.

This add-on:

...adds a field for Cost Price in your CS-Cart store. Cost Price is only visible for admin, and you can even import/export all your products with Cost Price.

No core files changed. Works on 4.3.7.

I have a fully working module that adds Incoming price column in backend. It allows you to import-export this value...
Working with: 4.1.x-4.3.x

Can you please share this addon ?

So far 489 votes, no reaction..

Is there any reason why we should add votes at all, it they are ignored for 7 YEARS?

Take a look at "Simple Profit" module by Alt-team.

Or you can use our Cost Based Pricing addon. You don't have to use the cost basis in order to have profit per item and profit on order shown. But if you wanted to do cost-based-pricing then that option would be available to you as well.

Can you add the cost price via the products.manage page with this add-on or is it via each product or CVS.

You can also checkout our Cost Based Pricing addon which will report all of the above with the additional ability to establish prices based on cost.

You can import cost, add it in the admin area and you can set pricing based on cost. I.e. prices to be 20% above cost. However, you don't have to use the cost-based-pricing aspects to get profit per item and profit per order reporting on your orders.details page.

Do you have any screen shots of your addon? And does this add-on alter core files?

I found this https://marketplace.cs-cart.com/add-ons/site-management/ez-cost-based-pricing.html, but it doesn't say it is compatible with 4.7.2.

Also can this addon do changes to costs via the products.manage page?

Sorry, no demo. But we are happy to fully refund your purchase if you're dissatisfied. The documentation https://ez-ms.com/docs/cost_basis.pdf has some screen shots.

Yes, it is compatible with 4.7.2. Just haven't taken the time to update the product features in the marketplace for all the addons we offer there.

No core files are modified with ANY of our addons. Bad practice and we don't do it. By defintion, modifying a core file in an addon distribution would make that a MOD, not an addon.

I

I don't think yours will shows cost on the products.manage page, looks like placing cost price is only via CSV import. Can you change it so that you can add cost via products.manage page, that way you can do lots at a time etc. and change anytime easy.

Cost can be added on the add-ons tab of the products details page or via CSV import. The hooks for inserting columns on the manage page were not available when this addon was developed, but it could certainly be added if there was a demand to do so.

We added the ability to set cost on the products.manage page per your request.

If you're an existing user of EZ Cost Based Pricing, your product will be automatically updated to the current version (4.7.4) within the next day or two.
