Hello,
How do I get the Product Code to Change when the Product Inventory control is set to: Do Not Track.
I created Product Option Combinations from two Global Dropdown lists (with inventory checked) . I get a Product code field and the two image boxes for thumnail and large image when linking to a product and creating product combinations

I enter Product Codes for the combinations.
The product codes are not entered into the product code field when selecting the option from the customer side when ordering. It only works if the Product Inventory Control is set to: "Track with Options" I don't want to track the inventory.
What can I change that will change the product code if the inventory control is set to "Do not track"
Also, is there any way when creating the Product Option combinations to have single entries, ie each item in each of the two dropdowns. Out of 13 variants in the first dropdown, I only need two to form combinations with the 13 variants in the second dropdown.

In order for the product code to change you'll need to set the product to "Track with Options".

If you do not want to use the inventory tracking then this is disabled in admin -> settings -> general, under heading Catalog -> "Enable inventory tracking", uncheck this box.

My problem is that I can't uncheck inventory in the Admin, because I do want to track inventory for some products, but not all. I was thinking there might be some code I can add that would use the product code I enter even thought I have no quantity and not tracking inventory for those particular option combinations.
