If you want your customers to stay in your cart at all times you need SSL. If you forward your customers to a payment page hosted by a payment processor. You don't.
The first solution is more professional and doesn't bounce customers back and forth across sites.

is there a way to turn off cs carts function that stores all card details if prtox are going to handle it? just that i was reading on protx site that if you have a site that stores card details you have to get another accreditation which can cost hundreds or thousand depending on how many transactions you're doing. You can get out of this if your cart doesnt store and card details but just passes them on.

Not on the top of my head. But since you have helpdesk support for 30 days you could ask CS-Cart if they have an easy solution for this. And post it here after they tell you.
